Game of Thrones Themed Games

Yes the Game of Thrones browser game you've been seeing everywhere is, well, horrible.
But there might be some others that are worth our while.

Were you too hoping for something like Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms Online MMO? Well, spolier alert: it was cancelled. There's a Game of Thrones by Telltale Games that is 'alright', (see below)
Or you can get together with some friends and play one of these classic, themed group games.

Game of Thrones the Board Game

3–6 players take command of the Great Houses of Westeros.
A fun game to play if you several hours, as the game can get very long. Players build armies and engage in diplomacy before going in for the kill. And they say that if you don't win, you die!

Exploding Kittens - NSFW Edition

A fun card game for adults, featuring Illustrations by The Oatmeal.
2-5 people can play this game. "In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens" .

Dice Ring - A DM Must-Have!

From the successful KickStarter campaign by Critsuccess, a selection of Dice Rings for your tabletop adventures. The front plate of these rings spins around like bearings, and have the same functions as dice, 4-20 side dice commonly used for roleplaying games; and some uncommon dice (with strange numbers/icons) is available as well.
I think I'll need both an r20 and r6 dice rings.

Pit - The card game

Pit, the fast-paced card game from Parker Brothers, has been a bullish performer since its introduction way back in 1904. With all the ups and downs, desperate deals, and nonstop action of an actual trading floor, this lively game offers great fun without risking the family fortune. The rules are simple: Deal the cards, wait for the opening bell, scream and trade like crazy, be the first to corner a specific market (nine cards of the same suit), and ring the closing bell. Sounds pretty realistic, doesn't it? Once you've got the basic game mastered, try throwing Bull and Bear cards into the mix--that's when things get really interesting!

Pit comes neatly boxed with a set of durable game cards, instructions, and a heavy-duty metal bell that's great for slamming. There are rules included for a silent bidding version of the game, but jumping up and down, gesticulating wildly, and shouting yourself hoarse is half the fun. --George Laney
